Suede - Everything Will Flow

Fight. Flee. Flow.

Three ways to look at life and make conscious choices. Lately, I find I gravitate towards the flow of life finding peace and solace there.

Which way do you go?

Willie Nelson - I Never Cared for You

I so enjoy ironic lyrics. We say one thing, but we know we mean another. No wonder we all love to stand up and salute truth. It is often so difficult for us to share it ourselves.

Bob Dylan - Like A Rolling Stone

With respect to Andy Rooney, “Did you ever notice” how economics is like psychology?

Economist try and understand, describe, figure-out, explain, diagnose, analyze, and shape the behavior of finances, and psychologist try and do the same with regards to people. Kind of leaves so many of us just scratching our heads, and reaching for our common sense.

And as Bob Dylan asked us forty-six year ago, “How does it feel,” in this time of economic turmoil, and questions about wide gaps between the haves and have-nots?

Here comes history repeating itself “Like a Rolling Stone”.

Alan Jackson - Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning

This man's eyes tell the complete story.

Violence is perhaps the greatest threat to the human race. Violence in any form, word, act, or deed can destroy mankind. Will it?

Lucinda Williams - World Without Tears

Maya Angelou - I know why the caged bird sings

A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange suns rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.
