Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

I know this song is about LSD and the drug culture, but I just can't get the last verse out of my head with regards to the 2012 election. In fact, many elections, many places throughout the world.
"When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead."

If you use your imagination, and think of the men on the chessboard as congress, the white knight as Obama, and the queen as Romney, you might get the idea. However, the most important message to me is "Feed Your Head".

Know yourself. Look at yourself. Question yourself. Listen!

"When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the doormouse said;
"Feed YOUR HEAD... Feed your head"

The Eagles - Take It Easy

“Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do and damned if you don't.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

Double bind. Catch-22. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Let it go. Go with the flow, and Take eeeeassyyyyyyyy!!!

Woody Guthrie - This Land Is Your Land

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Roy Orbison - In Dreams

I read that Roy Orbison did not give permission for this song to be used in the movie "Blue Velvet". However, this surreal movie uses his song beautifully, and "Blue Velvet" remains one of my favorite films today.
I love the shades on the violin section, and the stage filled with amazing talent.

Andre Rieu - Il Silenzio

When I was boy Memorial Day was May 30th. It was the biggest parade of the year, and it was in memory of my Uncle Ray killed in the Philippine Islands.

Since then the day has changed, but the memory remains. I have added many more to my list of names, and I remember them today.

Van Morrison - Into the Mystic

Stop the clock!!! I can't believe I am 65. Woo hoo the good old days are getting older, and sailing 'into the mystic' is creeping closer.

But you know that's ok because it just seems to make today brighter, clearer, and so worth savoring.

We never need to stop trying to understand ourselves more. We never need to stop asking questions. It is life. It is being alive. Sail on my friends.

Enjoy and embrace the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. It really does happen for a reason.

Eric Clapton - San Francisco Bay Blues

Did you have a kazoo when you were a kid? It really is not always so difficult and expensive to find pleasure in life. Is it?
See ya later. I am going to go buy a kazoo or two!

Lighthouse Family - "(I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be) Free / One"

I wish you the happiest of new year's with many dreams fulfilled throughout the days ahead.

"One love, one blood. One life you've got to do what you should.
One life with each other. Sisters, brothers.
One love, but we're not the same.
We got to carry each other.

Carry each other..."
